The core of Pilates lies in developing a "Powerhouse", that means the development of deep abs, pelvic muscles and back muscles. Many excersizes are derivated from the positions (asanas) of Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga is a pleasant form of motion that that provides more power and flexibility.
